Baker's Rolls

I have got this recipe from the baker's and I must say that these adorable salty sticks are most welcome when you're expecting company to watch a game or a movie. With crusty edges opening your appetite for one more bite every time :-) When they come out of the oven it looks like a serial production... all same. I have to bake these rolls once again these days... you try it too :-)

Ingredients for the dough

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 tsp of yeast
  • 2 cups of warm milk
  • 4 tbsp of sugar
  • 4 tsp of salt
  • 1 cup of oil
  • 4 cups of flour
Method
Soak the yeast in the warm milk add sugar and some flour and leave it to rest until bubbling starts. Add all the other ingredients and make a nice dough by kneading it thoroughly for at least 10 minutes. Cut  a fist sized balls from dough ( approximately 30 pieces ) and when you finish you can take the first ball in a row and roll it out in oval shape.

Roll it in towards you by holding and dragging the other end. Put the rolls in the baking pan covered with baking paper and coat every roll with egg yolk. Sprinkle the rolls with salt and some sesame seeds. The rolls have to rest for a while - 20 minutes... so, preheat the oven on 400 F degrees and bake them for 15 minutes or until they reach a nice color.

Leave enough space between rolls to let them double themselves and to avoid sticking to each other.
