Rubber Cake

Here is one gorgeous layered cake with soft and fluffy cream. Taste of this cake is so delicate and mild. Definitely looks like old fashioned cakes that my grandmother used to bake. I love the contrast in colors and the texture of the cream.

Creamy Vegetable Soup

When I need something lite and creamy for lunch, I just make this magnificent creamy soup to indulge my cravings. It's not complicated to make it and it's my choice what to put inside. I open my refrigerator, take out the vegetables I have and put them in the bowl to boil them. The simplest meal ever and above all, extremely healthy.

Hungarian Crepes

Do you like sweetened cottage cheese? Well, this is an extra, unforgettable specialty from Hungary. OK, when I make crepes, the ideas of the stuffing are just coming to me so quickly that I can't decide which one to use. This is the most common in our house, but not liked by everyone. So, I have to make salty as well, to indulge the other members of the family.

Leek Salad in 7 minutes

There is no holiday without this tender and refreshing salad! Perfectly matches with all kinds of meat and can be used like a side dish. I just have to mention that leeks are not that strong like onions and the taste in your mouth goes away quickly - that is why I love them beside the crunchiness that lasts.

Broccoli Side Dish

So healthy and tasty broccoli side dish should be made more often. My husband is not a fan of this meal but my son likes it more. This was the perfect way to make my son to eat this vegetable. If you ask me, this is a perfect side dish along all sorts of meat or soya or just rice and other boiled vegetables. It's quick and simple - everyone can make this!

Oven Baked Panzerotti

Sometimes I don't feel well after deep fried panzerottis so I have searched for a little less greasy ones. The taste certainly depends on the filling or stuffing but these panzerottis from the oven have a slightly different taste. Nice dinner with less fat.

Snowflake Rolls

Yes, yes, the Halloween is coming up and I still haven't made anything appropriate according to standards. Well, this year, I will bake everything but pumpkin cakes! In our house, this date will be considered for democratic Holiday - everybody can say what cake they wish and it will be my command. Anyway, nobody here likes pumpkin that much.
These are the perfect rolls for a dessert. Quick to make, no yeast, stuffed with things you like and soft as a pillow. I don't know how this recipe got lost in the bunch of all the other crappy recipes. It doesn't belong there at all. Maybe, I misunderstood the ingredients or I thought of them as hard and not tasty at all. How wrong I was!

Ischler Cookie Sandwiches

These cookies have a long tradition in Austrian cuisine and have reached distant regions of the world by their cuteness and flavor. You have to have patience to make these cookies and a few kids to help you assembling them. Every kid is eager to help with this craft... I always was! :-) I just can't stop eating them... Who can wait for 2 hours storing in the fridge? Well, there are more varieties of these cookies, from chocolate creamed, or cheesy creamed, or jelly (all sorts), even lemon creamed... but this one is the best! Try it out and let me know, what is your favorite variety.

Fig Jelly Roll Cake

Is there anything quicker than this roll cake? It's crucial that you have finely milled cookies, fig jelly and chocolate... all the other ingredients are optional and can involve your creativity to change them. This is a no bake cake for unexpected guests or a quick after lunch dessert. Trust me when I tell you that the cake served it's purpose and disappeared after lunch as it came.

Coleslaw Salad

Add some refreshment to your lunch by preparing this amazingly delicious traditional salad. As our family gathered to have a nice Sunday lunch, we enjoyed in breaded chicken breast, french fries and this salad full of vitamins. Off course, with the inevitable white soup we started and ended with Oreo Muffin dessert. I call it a complete Sunday family lunch. Don't you think so too?

Fruit Pizza

You like pizza? Every kind of pizza? Me too! Just talking about pizza brings on my inspiration to bake one. Sometimes it comes out sweet, but most of the times salty wins. This time I used 2 kinds of plums. It came out sticky, sweet, sour and juicy... just the way we love it!

Thin Waffles

Light and crisp waffles can be a nice dessert after lunch, quick and fresh breakfast or can play cookies beside tea at tea-time. You need a batter thicker than pancake batter and a waffle iron to bake it and off course, something to cream it with... I personally like homemade jelly or powder sugar and cinnamon, but use your imagination and cream the waffles with it :-)

Cheesy Pillow Buns

I felt sleepy all day long. The pillow was my dearest friend, just because I haven't slept at night well. So, I connected nice and soft with my feelings and got these little pillows for dinner. Everyone was delighted and the buns were gone in a few minutes... But my sleepiness followed me all through the night and left me just before morning. That was a hell of a sleepy day :-)

Simple Jelly Roll Cake

I have made a complicated and delicious lunch and my energy has gone with the wind :-) I couldn't leave this kind of lunch without dessert. No bake Pecan Bars

So many words can be said for this sweet dessert and I don't know where to start. Sweet, creamy, fast, delicious, small bites, chocolaty...Oh, in one word perfect :-) Every cake with pecans is appetizing in a special way. Pecans can bring excitement in you and with all those vitamins and minerals is on the top of ingredients list that I like to use in my kitchen. Somehow, when I prepare something without this gorgeous nut I get the feeling of emptiness in a cake or dessert and I ask myself what it would be like enriched with chopped or milled pecans.

Homemade French Croissants

I've got this recipe for a long time and I've used it millions of times. Every time I bake these croissants they look, smell and taste the same. It's a pleasure to make these shiny buns - when the final product is always what you were expecting and hoping for. My family is crazy about them, especially for the various stuffing I come up with..."what's in them?" - Oh, question asked every time..but, with a reason! Someone likes them sweet but the others crave for the salty-cheesy ones. My mom likes them plain and crusty and I must say everybody likes them different, so I always make a questionnaire to see the path I should take :-)

Easy Cottage Cheese Crumple Pie

Buy some fillo pastry leaves to make this easy crumple cottage cheese pie for breakfast or dinner. Taste is very similar to Balkan Burek Pie but easier, faster and not greasy at all. A glass of yogurt is a great choice to follow this nice and appetizing meal. Anyone can bake this pie to become this delicious and soft.

Perfect little cookies for an afternoon snack in a garden. The kids would like them very much. I had to make a double dose to be enough for all of us. Little chocolate chunks wrapped in cocoa cookie dough is anything but not complicated. The recipe I have got from my friend works for years and without any changes. Milk or an orange juice goes very well with those small delicious chocolate filled buttons :-)

This is an easiest chocolate cake ever. Made without eggs and with yogurt... I couldn't expect this cake to be this moisty and delicious. Prepared in 5 minutes or less and baked for 30 minutes... Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

My son adores cookies of all kinds but these are his favorites. While I was baking these cookies, he was passing through the kitchen and steeling all those milk chocolate chips so after the fifth turn I had to put them away at safe place to have enough for the cookies. :-) I have learned something... Always buy extra milk chocolate chips for your son. :-) Little pecan cookies with spots of milk chocolate chips can be stored for a week if someone doesn't eat them :-)

Homemade Pizza

Homemade pizza has a slightly different taste than one made in a pizzeria. The taste of yeast makes it different. I have tried to bake pizza using the bakers dough from the bakery and the taste became very much similar to the real one. Nevertheless, my own, homemade pizza is very tasty and when I bake it for dinner my family is happy. This Pizza is still warm and tempting, so I really have to go :-)

I am always looking for something that can be made quickly and to be tasty just as all those complicated cakes. Simple yogurt cake with cherries sprinkled all over it can be the perfect dessert in a cherry season which lasts only 100 days in a year. Use these days for picking fresh cherries from the garden and making this simple cherry pie.

Pancakes with Strawberries - Strawberry Crepes

I like these thin pancakes. It's always a pleasure to wrap something in those thin round cakes with crusty edges. Sometimes, I indulge my self with pancakes creamed with Nutella or a homemade fruit jam, but from time to time I have an urge to wrap something that could look like the most delicious dessert - this pancake is a perfect example. :-)

Polyphonic Roll Cake

This recipe is really amazing! It's a no bake roll cake with whipping base and strawberries. So much for this time of year - lite, fruity and delicious! I always eat strawberries with whipping base and this is it, only rolled in a pecan-cocoa cake. I have made this cake in no time but the cooling time was too long :-( so I had to cut it too soon because of the hungry eyes of my family. :-)

Unusual Cottage Cheese Bread

This bread totally depends of the type of the cottage cheese and the taste of the sour cream. That is why I always buy the same cheese and sour cream to make the best bread. When I need something quick to put on the table with a smell of the freshly baked homemade bread, I turn to this recipe with a smile because it always brings me back to my childhood and my grandmother's kitchen.

Meringue Cake with Pecans and Chocolate

So many times I have eaten this kind of cake and never tried to make it myself. The time has come and the ingredients were all here. I was a little afraid that it wouldn't bake good or an hour in the oven seamed to me like an eternity. Trust me, it is not complicated at all. I have made this gorgeous Meringue Cake with Pecans, creamed with egg yolk filling and chocolate ganache and covered with whipping base, so you can do it too :-)

Twisted Pastry Braid

I woke up this morning with a thought to make something easy and unusual. I have made a basic dough and thought a little bit more. The dough smelled so good and fresh, and it was so bubbly under my fingers and the idea knocked on the door. I was going to make a Twisted Pastry Braid, so crunchy outside and soft inside with salty note of freshly baked pastry like the one in the bakery shop around the corner.

It's not hard to make but you must follow the recipe step by step in order to make a strudel soft, airy and without cracks. I won't say that mine is crackless but I gave my best :-)

Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies

Dark chocolate is a really healthy blessing for all those who want to loose weight. Choose these dark chocolate chip cookies with pecans to indulge your cravings for chocolate and sweet treats. Poppy Seed Cake with Cherries

This is my first poppy seed cake ever. I was a skeptic about it's tastiness, but I was wrong. Especially like this, cherry jelly in the middle of two layers of poppy seed cake and decorated with whipped cherry cream, totally unexpected, delicious dessert. This experiment was carefully watched by my other half...until it was served :-) Mmmm, delicious - he said, but poppy seeds bothered him afterwords :-(

Fanta Cheesecake

I had an urge for a refreshing sweet cake and among my recipes was this Fanta Cheesecake, so I gathered all the ingredients and started baking. I had help from my sweet niece Natasha. Chocolate Mousse Cake with Cherries

I had this cake for a few times and couldn't forget it - that fluffy chocolate mousse with cherries here and there and that gorgeous chocolate topping.
