Cinnamon Roll Muffins

Mmm, so sticky and sweet irresistible cinnamon rolls. When they came out of the oven, the kitchen was already filled with cinnamon aroma and my son couldn't resist so he took one roll and started eating it right away. Don't ask me how he looked like! :-) Well, I love those roll muffins just like the ones with jam or nutella or my favorite pecan rolls. I won't tell you that it's easy to make, just follow the steps and treat yourself with these wonderful muffin bites!

Ingredients for the dough

  • 3 cups of flour
  • a pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp of sugar
  • 2 tsp of yeast
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 3 tbsp of butter
  • 1 egg
Method
Stir the yeast in the warm milk and add the sugar and some flour. Set aside for a few minutes until it starts bubbling. Then add salt, egg, water and butter and start kneading while adding more flour. The dough must be soft and elastic when it's done.

Roll out the dough in a rectangle shape and cream it with softened butter. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar all over it and as much as you like! Now, roll up the dough and cut it in a lot of even pieces. Place the pieces in the well greased muffin pan and put it in the preheated oven on 200 F degrees. Bake the muffins until they turn light brownish.

Pour the glaze all over the cinnamon roll muffins and enjoy in this dessert!
