Switzerland Cake

This is an extremely easy cake to make. When you have guests in short notice, this cake is a fast and sweet coffee cake to put on the table. It can be made in various combinations and adding some syrups and ganache for example.

For this cake you will need:

  • Butter for greasing the pan
  • 4 eggs
  • 9 tablespoons of sugar and additional some to strew over the baking paper
  • 10 tablespoons of flour with baking powder
  • Powdered sugar for top sprinkling
  • Approximately 4 tablespoons of raspberry jam
  • 9x13 inch pan (23x33cm)

Try to make one!

1 Grease the pan and cover it with the baking paper

2 Mix eggs and sugar in the big bowl until the mixture gets whitish and firmly

3 In the eggs mixture put flour and stir it carefully and thoroughly, pour it into the pan and slope the pan until the compound is evenly spread all over the pan

4 Put it in preheated oven on 220C (440F) for nearly 10 minutes, until the cake turns golden-yellowish

5 Turn out the cake on the big baking paper sprinkled with sugar, peel off the bottom baking paper and cut off the edges

6 Roll in the cake together with the baking paper and hold it like that for 2-3 minutes

7 Roll out the cake and take off the baking paper, smear the cake with the preheated jam and roll it in again in a baking paper and leave it to cool down.

8 Take off the baking paper and sprinkle powdered sugar all over the cake and slice it into peaces like on the photo.
