Poppy Seed Crackers

Sometimes when we watch the movie, there's got to be something on the table just for snacks. Salty, off course. I have stumbled upon this amazing recipe and decided to try it out. Looks very easy and quick - there's always a lack of time :-) Hurry up and make these crackers before the game on TV.

Ingredients for the dough

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1/2 cup of poppy seeds
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • 2 tbsp of cottage cheese
  • 1 egg yolk
Method
Make a dough out of the ingredients and roll it out. Make it thin in order to make crustier crackers. Cut the crackers into the shapes you like and put them in the pan covered with baking paper.  Top the crackers with the egg whites and sprinkle them with salt and sesame seeds (optional). Preheat the oven on 430 F degrees and bake the crackers for 15 minutes. Serve the crackers with all sorts of dips or just plain as they are.
