Paris Slices

The most romantic place in the world is certainly Paris. Once, someone, somewhere made these slices to look romantic enough to remind of Paris. Pecans, chocolate and plain, sweet cookies are building a divine combination of tastes. Can be a fast, sweet and distinguished dessert after a romantic dinner.

Ingredients for the topping

  • 5 egg yolks
  • 6 egg whites
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of milled pecans
  • 1/2 cup of melted chocolate
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • about 40 pieces of plain sweet cookies (depends of dimensions)

Method
Mix the egg whites with 1/2 cup of sugar until it gets foamy and smooth. Add the egg yolks, the rest of the sugar, milled pecans, melted chocolate and baking powder. Divide in half and pour the first half in the baking pan. Arrange the plain sweet cookies on top and pour the other half of the cream cake on the cookies. Bake the cake on 392F for 10 minutes and then lower the temperature to 374F and bake for another 20-25 min. Sprinkle some coconut flour on top to make a color contrast.
