Pecan Zerbo Cake

Close your eyes, take a bite and enjoy the irresistible chocolate, pecan and jam flavors together. Here comes another bite, and another and so on...I have stopped counting at 3. :-) A little bit sour - jam or a fruity marmalade, much more sweet as chocolate is and delicious pecans invite bite after bite. Put this cake on your table and eat it with joy - not alone, off course! :-) Greatest cake tor parties and gatherings, cut in small bite-sized cake slices, practical and beautifully looking on the table for decoration.

Ingredients for the cake

  • 1 pack of yeast
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 10 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 cup of butter - room temperature
  • 2 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups of pecans
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 15 tbsp of jam

Method
Make a dough out of the ingredients, off course first put the yeast into the warm milk with sugar, leave it for 5 minutes and add the other ingredients in order to make a dough. Leave it to rest and double the size for approximately 30 min. Divide into 4 equal parts and roll them out in pan-sized flat squares. Grind 2 cups of pecans with 1 cup of sugar and divide it in 3 equal amounts - for 3 layers. Put the first dough into the pan and spread 5 tbsp of jam (apricot) on the dough. Sprinkle the first pecan-sugar amount over it and cover it with another dough. Do the same until you have materials.

Don't forget to put the chocolate glaze on the top and decorate it with the fork.

Ingredients for the chocolate glaze

  • 1 chocolate bar (100g)
  • 5 tbsp of confectionery sugar
  • 1 tbsp of oil
  • 1 tbsp of milk

Slowly melt the chocolate into other ingredients and glaze the cake.
