Mum's Simple Apple-Pecan Cake


Here is one of the simplest cakes I know. My mum makes it often and we like it very much. You can imagine apples and pecans combination of tastes in one cake. It's soft and moisty just like all apple cakes. You can toast the pecans but I rather not. Depends on tastes.


Ingredients for the cake

  • 1 cup of semolina
  • 1 cup of finely chopped pecans
  • 4 tbsp of flour
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of oil
  • 4 apples - peeled, cored and finely chopped

Method
Mix all of the dry ingredients and the wet ones in another bowl. Slowly stir them together and pour the mixture in the pan covered with baking paper. Bake the cake on 400F for approximately 30 minutes. The decoration is up to you - or your mood! :-)
