White Cake with Milk Chocolate Frosting

I have stumbled upon a great cake in my old book of notes of my high school period. I had a friend for exchanging recipes and every recipe was tried out and rated with marks from 1 to 10. This one was marked with 9 and who ever tried it glorified it and asked for more :-)! I am talking about this moisty white cake and delicious chocolate cream which make a beautiful, dreamy and tasteful dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 tbsp of bourbon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups of sugar
  • 4 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 1/2 sticks of butter

Method
Beat in the egg whites with half of sugar until it gets foamy. In another bowl beat the butter with another half of the sugar and add it to eggs with all the other ingredients. Slowly stir until it gets smooth. Pour it in the pan covered with baking paper and bake it in the oven on 400 F degrees until it gets nice brownish color and if you stick the toothpick in the middle of the cake and if the toothpick comes out clean the cake is done.

Cool the cake down and cut it in half and start preparing the cream frosting.

Ingredients for the frosting

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 Milk Chocolate Bar
  • 1 cup of whipping base

Method
Beat in the egg yolks with sugar until it gets whitish and cook it on steam for 10 minutes by stirring. Put the Milk Chocolate in and stir until it melts down.Cool it down. In another bowl beat the whipping base until it gets firm, add the eggs and mix it until you get nice and smooth frosting.

Assemble the cake
Cream the frosting on one cake, then put on another cake and top it with the frosting. Decorate the cake as you wish just to be more tempting.
