Cinnamon Roll Muffins

Mmm, so sticky and sweet irresistible cinnamon rolls. When they came out of the oven, the kitchen was already filled with cinnamon aroma and my son couldn't resist so he took one roll and started eating it right away. Don't ask me how he looked like! :-) Well, I love those roll muffins just like the ones with jam or nutella or my favorite pecan rolls. I won't tell you that it's easy to make, just follow the steps and treat yourself with these wonderful muffin bites!

Flourless Cake Bars

Do you like nuts and chocolate combination in cakes? Off course! Who doesn't? I have made these bars for New Years Eve...just to put something sweet and delicious on the table. It came out like the best cake ever. A little bit chewy and melts quickly like a winter ice cream, leaving pecans to boost your energy up. It's not too complicated to make but it's worth every minute of your time.

Greek Semolina Cake with Plum Filling

Greeks certainly know how to make a delicious dessert. This one is an ordinary variation enriched with fresh and homemade plum filling. I have made it so soft and tender, i couldn't believe either. I served it after lunch, as a dessert and it was amazing for everyone. I have collected only nice comments.:-)

Oven Baked Doughnuts

I have used the same dough like for the doughnuts fried in a deep oil, but it came out so different. This one was baked in a muffin pan and it's not that greasy at all. Crusty outside, soft and bubbly inside...I love doughnuts!
The cherry filling is perfect for such doughnuts...so refreshing and appetizing.

A Glass of Baileys Pudding

For grown ups only dessert won my respect a few years ago. I don't drink but Baileys is one of a kind, especially in dessert. Nicely combines with chocolate, nuts or whipped cream and the taste is extraordinary. Try it out and serve it to your friends just to see the positive outcome!

Homemade Cherry Pie Filling

The cherry season has just started and I have a lot cherries in my garden. Good thing about it is that everyone in my family loves cherries in all sorts and variations on the table. When you have a lot, you need to figure out how to store them in order to be used through the whole year. My pattern is to put them in a deep freezer and deal with them as necessary. Off course, all of them pitted out...yes, a lot of work but it's much easier later.

Strawberry Cheesecake Phyllo Cups

This is not an ordinary cheesecake recipe... it's the one with semolina. Nevertheless, baked sweet cottage cheese is the food worth craving for. This time I used strawberries to bring some spring into this sweet phyllo basket. I'm thinking about some other fruits, to make a mix in this attractive dessert cup - it would be awesome.

Carob Brownies with Chocolate Glaze

This cake can be prepared very quickly and easy... It's all about mixing the ingredients together, baking it and pouring the glaze on. Simple as that! Carob gives this cake a special aroma that craves for the chocolate glaze, but as people are not all the same - it's possible that your carob cake craves for a fruit glaze. :-) I'll stick with the chocolate one...

Nutella Crepes with Strawberries

Every week I have to bake crepes... The cravings for them are enormous and can't help it. We eat it with jelly, cinnamon and sugar, cacao and sugar, all sorts of pudding, whipped cream and fruits (seasonal), poppy seed and sugar, or salty variations. It's better if you eat it strait from the pan. The crepe is crusty in a first few minutes and in this case, Nutella melts on it and gives you an incredible feeling while eating it.

Nutella Strudel

Nutella is an only ingredient well known all over the world... When you say Nutella you are speaking sweet on every language. The other day, I have made a simple strudel dough and I was thinking if I should use cottage cheese to cream it or something else. There were some nuts and jelly and poppy seed and off course - Nutella. Well, the cottage cheese I used for macaroni and my hand reached for the nutty chocolate spread with an exquisite taste - Nutella.

Surprise Muffins

The perfect dessert after any meal is a quick and easy one with a few ingredients. Until my lunch is cooking, and my children away... I have some time to prepare something sweet for a great afternoon. Off course, the dessert doesn't always match everyone's taste, but it's good as long as we have it on the table. As the time is always in deficit, desserts like this one are more than welcome to be squeezed in my cooking-baking schedule. So, this sunny day inspired me to bake some chocolate creamed muffins... Surprise Muffins. This recipe I got from my old friend who moved away a long time ago... This was my way to remember the good stuff from the past. I am grateful for my recipe book which is full of forgotten and tasty recipes.

Rubber Cake

Here is one gorgeous layered cake with soft and fluffy cream. Taste of this cake is so delicate and mild. Definitely looks like old fashioned cakes that my grandmother used to bake. I love the contrast in colors and the texture of the cream.

Hungarian Crepes

Do you like sweetened cottage cheese? Well, this is an extra, unforgettable specialty from Hungary. OK, when I make crepes, the ideas of the stuffing are just coming to me so quickly that I can't decide which one to use. This is the most common in our house, but not liked by everyone. So, I have to make salty as well, to indulge the other members of the family.
